Birnam Book Festival is run by volunteers, for the benefit of the community and book lovers everywhere. A small committee provide time throughout the year on a voluntary basis, but we still need a bit of help to plan and run the festival. A variety of roles are available to support the organisation and planning of the festival, and on the weekend itself. Any time commitment you can offer will be welcomed and we have roles to suit a wide range of skills. In return, we will provide you with a full induction to the festival and your role, and access to events.
We’re looking for help with:
- Sponsorship and fundraising
- Promotion and communications
- Distribution of posters and brochures
- Concierges to support authors
- Event stewards
We will also welcome anyone who might be interested in joining us on the committee on an ongoing basis to help shape the future of the festival.
