The Birnam Book Festival was launched on a November weekend in 2018.
Authors appearing included Jenny Colgan, Dean Burnett, Stuart Cosgrove, Darren McGarvey, Fiona Valpy, Magnus Linklater and international folk music legend Peggy Seeger, who was Guest of Honour. The first festival drew audiences from across the country and established itself as an enticing destination on the Scottish literary map.
